I suppose it started a few months ago when I had the strangest news. I was home alone when I had the most unusual visitor – an angel! Truly! He came from God with a message for me.
The angel said that I was going to have a baby, a little boy and I was to name him Jesus (it means The Lord Saves). At first I was afraid, really uncomfortable, but the angel told me I had nothing to fear. The baby was to be God’s own son and he would do great things for our people.
The angel told me that God was pleased with me. It truly is an honour to be pregnant with such a special baby. Then the angel told me that Elizabeth was pregnant. He said that anything was possible with God. I went to stay with Elizabeth and she said that her baby jumped for joy when I came because it knew about my baby. Now that really is strange!
Then my Joseph had a visitor. At first he thought he was dreaming but it was an angel from God that came and spoke to him. The angel said that Joseph had to marry me (we’ve been engaged for a while) and told him all about the baby we’re going to have. So that’s how we got married and now we’re getting ready to have our baby.
