Worship on our own

Our verses of the year for 2021 are Hebrews 10:23-35…

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

To help us live out these verses, I’ve put together some prayer stations looking at how we can worship God alone. In some ways this might seem to be encouraging the opposite of the call to meet together. But my hope and prayer is that by refreshing our own worship and time with God, we will be better able to spur each other on and encourage one another.

At a time when we can’t meet together physically, let me encourage you to look at and use the materials as a way of holding unswervingly to your hope and faith in God. And let me encourage you to share your thoughts and reflections so we can spur one another on and encourage one another.

And let’s look for other ways to encourage one another and to share the hope we have in Jesus. Please share any ideas or thoughts on this page or on our blog or Facebook page.
